This Sunday we’re stepping into one of the most practical and hope‑filled parts of James’ letter.
James doesn’t just tell us what faith is, he shows us what faith looks like when it’s alive, moving, and shaping the way we treat one another.

Our tongues are an amazing part of our bodies. It is made up of  8 intertwined muscles on which are thousands of taste buds. Its helps in digestion and speech.
 
This Sunday we are considering James 3:1-12 which focus’s on the tongues far reaching  potential. The power of words is undeniable.

The Mirror Isn’t the Problem
 
Have you ever looked in a mirror, noticed something was wrong and then walked away without doing anything about it?
James says we can do exactly that with God’s Word. We may hear it, understand it and even feel challenged by it, yet remain unchanged.
 
In this message as we continue our journey through James 1, we’ll explore the difference between merely hearing God’s Word and actually doing what it says. How can we tell whether the truth has genuinely taken root in us? And how can God’s commands lead us, not into restriction, but into freedom?

When Life Gets Too Hard
Why does God allow difficult things to happen? Where is he when life doesn’t go according to plan and how do we keep trusting him when we cannot see what he is doing?

James does not ask us to pretend that painful things do not hurt. Instead, he shows us how God can use even the trials we would never have chosen to deepen our faith, develop perseverance and make us more like Jesus.

When the Battle Is Bigger Than You
 
What do we do when we face a diagnosis we cannot change, a family situation we cannot resolve, a temptation we cannot overcome, or a battle we simply cannot win in our own strength?
In this message, as we continue our series on the names of God, we will explore El Gibbor—“Mighty God.” Come and discover the wonderful assurance that we do not face life’s greatest battles alone. When the battle is bigger than us, we have a mighty champion who enters the battle and fights on our behalf.

We live in a world where individuals long to be seen. Social media posts particularly highlight the desperate cry to get the attention of others. But there is One who sees all and knows each of us intimately. This is our God, El Roi, the God who sees.
This name was first given to God by Hagar, the Egyptian slave of Sarai. As we continue our series on the names of God, we will look at Genesis 16, and learn why she gave God this name, El Roi, and how her life changed as a result. We will also consider our own lives, and how God continues to invite us to be known and to know him.  

Who Really Runs the World?
A single troubling headline can fill us with anxiety and leave us wondering what the future holds. But Psalm 47 lifts our eyes above the uncertainty of our world and reminds us that El Elyon, the God Most High, is still on His throne.
