After a spiritual high at Bethel—burying idols, renewing his walk with God—you might expect Jacob’s story to go smoothly from there. But life, as we know, rarely follows neat story arcs.In our final message in our series on the Life of Jacob, we’ll journey with Jacob through some of the hardest moments of his life: the death of Rachel in childbirth, the betrayal of his son Reuben, and the quiet passing of his father Isaac. Genesis 35:16–29 is a powerful reminder that even after we’ve made the right choices and cleaned up our spiritual house, suffering can still come knocking. What do we do when faithfulness is followed by loss? How do we respond when we expected blessings but life brings grief? And how does Jacob’s story help us grow from a transactional faith to one of deep trust in God? Join us as we explore how God walks with us—not just on the mountaintops, but through the valleys.

Genesis 35 - Helping others on their journeyAs we near the end of the series, Jacob is finally able to make good on the promise of building the alter. Having journeyed with God for many years, he now returns back to Bethel where again God meets with Jacob. Before he does that, we see a maturing Jacob able to look past his own story and think of others, and how all of them have to make changes in order to move away from their past and move closer to God.
Join us as we celebrate with Jacob how far he has come, but more importantly that he is able to bring others with him, helping them on their own journeys toward becoming like Christ.

This week, Pastor Jonathan opens one of the most difficult and disturbing chapters in the Bible - Genesis 34. It’s the story of Dinah, a young girl violated, a family shattered by sin, a father who remained silent, and brothers whose attempt at justice spiraled out of control.
It’s not a passage many pastors choose to preach from - but God chose to include it in His Word. Why?
Pastor Jonathan will explore that question and show how this raw and painful chapter reveals a timeless truth: that when sin is ignored, it doesn’t disappear. It grows. It festers. It destroys.
This is a confronting message - but also a vital one. Through it, we’ll be reminded of the cost of silence, the dangers of unchecked sin and the hope of God’s mercy even in the mess.

Pastor Jonathan will explore how grace, humility, and a bit of courage can begin to heal even the most fractured relationships. Whether you’re carrying a grudge, nursing a hurt, or simply wondering if peace is still possible, this message will speak to your heart.

Only 1% of pastors believe their church is effective at evangelism. Yet 52% of churchgoers say they feel comfortable inviting someone to church—and remarkably, 71% of non-Christians say they’d be open to that invitation. So why the disconnect? Why aren’t these numbers translating into transformed lives?
In this episode, Pastor Jonathan unpacks this puzzling gap. He explores five reasons why evangelism is struggling in today’s churches—and offers four practical steps we can take to revive it. If you care about reaching people with the gospel, this conversation is for you.

Ever had a pep talk that left you more nervous than inspired? In Matthew 10:16, Jesus gathers His disciples and gives them this eyebrow-raising pep talk: “I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves—so be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.” Say what?
As we continue Mission May, Pastor Jonathan explores what it really means to be sent out as “sheep” into the mission field. Is this truly the best plan God could come up with - or is there something deeper behind what looks like a wild strategy at first glance? Join to find out - you might be surprised by the answer!
